About the Research & Development Cell

Research & Development Cell, D.A-V. College, Kanpur, aims to foster an environment for the creation and dissemination of knowledge, innovation, and technology development to meet societal and industrial needs. Our goal is to empower researchers with the necessary knowledge, skills, good governance, and substantial financial support.

The RDC serve as a central hub for the ideation and conceptualization of research programs, facilitating workshop, training sessions, conferences, and seminars. We actively promote a research culture on campus, encouraging both students and faculty to engage in research initiatives. It will create and encourage research culture among teaching faculties. Promoting research quality that contributes meaning fully towards the goal of a “Self Reliant India” and would help to create a research ecosystem for reliable impactful and sustained research output.

Identify and align research areas that contribute to the college's strategic objectives and national development goals.
Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Provide mentorship and support for faculty and students engaged in research projects.
Encourage collaboration across industry, government, community-based organizations, and agencies at the local, national, and international levels.
Facilitate greater access to research through mobilization of resources and funding.
