Cultural Committee - D.A-V College

The Cultural Committee is an essential part of D.A-V College. Unlike other committees, its role is of paramount importance as it seeks to promote the multi-dimensional development of students' personalities. The primary objective of an educational institution is, no doubt, to impart education and pave the way for a successful and fulfilling career. Students come from diverse backgrounds, possess different capabilities, and have varied interests and talents. The Cultural Committee plays a vital role in recognizing these talents and organizing them in a coordinated and disciplined manner under the supervision of experienced professors.

The Cultural Committee of D.A-V College operates in a well-structured manner, with sub-committees working in five distinct categories:

• Literary Committee
• Music Committee
• Dance Committee
• Theatre Committee
• Fine Arts Committee

The expertise and dedication of the professors guide students in participating in cultural events, helping them win prizes and trophies. In this way, the committee encourages the holistic development of students' personalities and contributes to their personal growth by developing essential skills needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.

Students from D.A-V College actively participate in inter-collegiate cultural events, the Youth Festival of CSJMU, Kanpur, and often move up to state and national-level competitions. The cultural events organized by the college are the most anticipated, with efforts coming from the Secretary, Board of Management, Principal, conveners, members, and students. The committee's main objective is to ensure maximum student participation in cultural activities, both within the college and in inter-collegiate competitions.

The college also has a students' cultural club, "Dr. Nagendra Swarup Memorial Students' Cultural Club", named in memory of the visionary former Secretary of the Board of Management, Dr. Nagendra Swarup.

For the session 2024-2025, the Students' President of the club is Pragya Wakhale, and the Students' Secretary is Parth Gupta.
