Dayanand Anglo-Vedic PG College, Kanpur in collaboration with Naandi Foundation (an initiative by Tech Mahindra) organized the Mahindra Pride Classroom conducted for the final year students of various undergraduate and postgraduate programs from September 14 to October 05, 2024.

Under the programme, a 40-Hour course on Employability Skills was imparted across 22 batches by competent soft skills trainers. The training covered:

  • Soft Skills
  • Life Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Interview Skills

Each batch participated in sessions lasting 36-40 hours in offline mode. Pre and Post Assessment Tests, Group Discussions, Extempore, and Mock Interviews were conducted.

Closing Ceremony

Report Employability Skills Training Initiative with Naandi Foundation, Hyderabad

IQAC has identified several initiatives for the Students & staff Members

2023-24

September 2023

1. IQAC initiated MPC Employability Skills Training

Number of students trained 1143

IQAC in association with Naandi Foundation, Hyderabad organized MPC Employability Skills Training for the students as its Youth Empowerment Initiative and provided training to 1143 students. These students will be provided the placement support through Job Fairs in various parts of the state, organized by the foundation.

2024-25

2. MoU with Naandi Foundation

To commemorate World Youth Skills Day and observing the favorable response of the students towards IQAC’s youth empowerment initiative, Dayanand Anglo-Vedic PG College, Kanpur executed three year Memorandum of Understanding on 15/07/2024 day of Monday 2024 with Naandi Foundation, Hyderabad for their Mahindra Pride Classroom. The objective of this initiative is to impart employability skill set to the young girls that which helps them employable and raise their economic security. The beneficiaries shall be from underprivileged sections of society without distinction of caste, creed or religion etc., and shall be studying in the pre-final year courses in Dayanand Anglo Vedic (PG) College, Kanpur. The program shall include New Age skills, Soft-Skills, Communication Skills, Life Skill and Interview Preparations for the beneficiaries under employability skill development program. The Program is free of cost. Dr. Nidhi Nagar, Department of Statistics is the program coordinator (POC).

3. World Youth Skills Day Celebrations

Internal Quality Assurance Cell & Placement Cell of Dayanand Anglo-Vedic PG College, Kanpur jointly organized the celebrations for World Youth Skills Day, 15.07.2024 in which the students who participated and successfully completed the training program on *Employability Skills Training Program * were provided certificates. Prof Arun Kumar Dixit, the College Principal, along with the members of IQAC & Placement Cell graced the felicitation ceremony.
